From cooking after school for her siblings to working in some of the best kitchens, Karla Castillo has led a food inspired life ever since she can remember. Watching her family members cram into a tiny kitchen and create a feast was a thing of beauty. These are the memories that fuel her passion for beautiful food.

Castillo attended culinary school in southern California, where she was born and raised, and worked in the food industry for 12 years as a pastry chef. Her work history includes D Bar San Diego, The Westgate Hotel, and the Marcus Whitman Hotel.

Palette was inspired by the local wine scene and incredible agriculture in the Walla Walla Valley.

Castillo has called Walla Walla, WA home since 2015.
